Abstract
This paper describes the process of design and implementation of a microcontroller-based, distance measurement meter using an ultrasound sensor. An ultrasound sensor can measure the distance between the sensor and any selected object for different applications such as robotic arm motion control, blind man’s vehicle control, medical applications, etc. Small distance measurement using ultrasound sensor is one of the costeffective systems among different options. In this work, the simulation is done by Proteus 8.6 professional software which is a powerful software to design the circuit very effectively. A prototype experimental setup is also implemented to verify the accuracy of the meter practically. Finally, the experimental result shows that the meter is errorless and able to measure between a range 2cm to 2.15m accurately
