As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or PDF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

General Guidelines

GUB Journal of Science and Engineeringprovides publication (six-monthly) of articles in Science and Engineering. The Journal welcomes the submission of manuscripts that meet the general criteria of significance and scientific excellence.

GUBJSE does not charge Article Processing Fees to the authors.

Papers must be submitted with the understanding that they have not been published elsewhere (except in the form of an abstract or as part of a published lecture, review, or thesis) and are not currently under consideration by another journal and/or any other publisher.

The authors are encouraged to use Author-ID or ORCID-ID. These are available for free from their respective websites. At least the corresponding author should have an ORCID-ID.

The submitting (corresponding) author is responsible for ensuring that the article's publication has been signed approved by all the other coauthors. It is also the authors' responsibility to ensure that the articles emanating from a particular institution are submitted with the approval of the necessary institutional requirement. Only an acknowledgment from the editorial office officially establishes the date of receipt. Further correspondence and proofs will be sent to the corresponding author(s) before publication unless otherwise indicated. It is a condition for submission of a paper that the authors permit editing of the paper for readability. All inquiries concerning the publication of accepted papers should be addressed to - Editor-in-Chief.

 

Submission Guidelines

Before submitting any manyscripts, please check the following guidelines:

Initially submitted manuscripts must have a double-column format, and 12-point Times New Roman font. Manuscripts must not exceed 20 pages on A4 size paper. The abstract and keywords must not exceed 300 and 5-10, words respectively. The list of references must be given at the end of the paper using IEEE style bibliography and must be cited in the texts of the paper appropriately. We appreciate the images, graph, and tables prepared through some specialized software like N-graph, Prism Graph, Graph Pad, etc.

Please be noted that all the submissions, after initial screening by the editorial board, will be sent for blind reviewing, that is, the identities of the authors will be withheld from the reviewers. Please make sure that the authors' names, affiliations, acknowledgements do not appear in the submitted paper for facilitating the review process. In addition, please do not describe your prior works with phrases like: “In our earlier work in [5], we proposed that ... ”. Instead, you may write: “In [5], M. Q. Ahsan proposed that ...”, and so on.

 

Plagiarism, duplication, and misconduct

This journal follows a standard plagiarism policy. Each manuscript is screened for plagiarism by a plagiarism detection software after submission. The manuscript will be rejected with notification to the author(s)' institute in case of plagiarism detected more than 30% from various sources, and 10% from a single source. In addition, if plagiarism, duplication, or misconduct is reported or seen any time after publication, the management authority of the journal keep all the rights to delete the content from the repository of the journal.
